“An Overflowing Heart”

August, 2010

Greetings in the name of the Lord! Time flies! Wow! Here we are just less than one month away from NCCD. It is getting closer. I am very excited. I hope you too. Every month since October, I gave you my message. This month is my final message to you. This month is very exciting and challenging. Everyone have normal busy schedule. But to add NCCD to our busy schedule, it becomes a challenge. I have a prayer calendar. It is called 30 days Prayer. It starts on August 3rd and ends on September 1st. Please email me and request for 30 days Prayer list. I can email you.

If August 1st deadline is passed, is it too late? No. You can still register and buy tickets for banquet, bus to Royal Gorge, and bus to Seven Falls and Garden of the Gods. Please mail as soon as possible.

In the fall, winter, and spring, we can see the snow on the mountains easily. When summer comes, snow melts and snow are gone. Let us think what God is telling us. In the song called “Spirit of the Living God”, melt me, mold me, fill me, and use me. I like to think of the word “melt”. In our lives, we had pride, selfishness, greed, hate, and other sins. God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to wash away our sins. God “melts” our pride and makes us humble. He molds us, fill us and now use us. God does that same with all other sins and makes us become right with God. When you see the mountains and no snow, you know what will become.

It becomes streams. Streams come down from the mountains in many different directions. The water overflows and become waterfalls. Think about the water getting too full in one place and start to overflow the surface. Like our hearts, God fills our hearts with love. Not only filling our hearts, He can make our love overflow. In 1 Thessalonians 3:12 says, “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.” Paul said ours and he means Paul, himself, Silas and Timothy. They were together. They showed great love to other people.

We can have an overflowing heart. We have our hearts with overflowing love, overflowing joy and overflowing peace. Why not? You bring your hearts to Colorado Springs. See you September 2nd.

From my heart with overflowing love,

NCCD 2010 President
